Almost 30 years ago the communist era ended in Romania, but its marks are visible to this day. Visit Bucharest for an insightful one-day tour through the city streets and discover how the lives of Romanian people looked like under the Ceausescu Regime.

Your tour will start with pick-up from the hotel reception, from where we will head towards the metro station. There you’ll be able to see the first elements of the communist era.

Our next stop will be at a communist neighborhood built especially for the working class. Here you’ll find out how people lived their daily lives and how they mixed their work-life with family-life.

The third stop is at the famous Palace of the Parliament, one of the world’s largest buildings. Discover what inspired Ceausescu to build it and what story does it hide. Did you know that its construction was part of a larger project called “Project Bucharest”?

The fourth and final stop is at the home of the Ceausescu couple, the Ceausescu Residential Palace. Here you will see how the famous couple lived their life and you’ll also be able to find out more about their history.

You can visit it between Wednesday and Sunday starting with 10:00 until 18:00.
